Qualifications at Coruña British International School
Coruña British International School currently welcomes students from Nursery to Year 6, but as the school grows we will begin to teach secondary school classes up to and including IGCSE and A-Level courses along with Cambridge language certificates in the English language.
IGCSE and A-Levels
The Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and Advanced Level (A-Level) examinations are rigorous, well-respected academic qualifications, recognised throughout the international community and accepted as access qualifications at the top universities in Spain and worldwide.
Access to Spanish Universities
Access to public or private Spanish universities with A-Level qualifications is guaranteed for students, under the same conditions as students applying from Spanish schools.
Access to British Universities
For access to British universities, at least two A-Level passes are usually required. To gain access to more prestigious UK universities, students normally need at least three A-level subjects at grade B or above.
Access to International Universities
University access is not limited to Spain and the United Kingdom; A-Levels also enable our students to apply to universities in the US, Canada, Europe and the rest of the world.
IGCSE and A-Level academic qualifications are internationally respected qualifications.
