Welcome to Coruña British International School
Coruña British International School is a private, secular, independent school in A Coruña. We follow the English National Curriculum while meeting all Spanish schooling requirements. The education we offer our students is high quality and individualised, with dedicated attention for each student. We aim to develop each child’s full academic and personal potential and encourage our students to be curious, creative, self-disciplined and independent.
Our school currently offers classes from Early Years up to Year 9 (equivalent to the Spanish 2 ESO). We are progressively adding a new cohort each year until we offer the full range of schooling, from ages three to 18.
Our facilities
The school is located in the beautiful city of A Coruña, 10 minutes from the city centre with easy access by car. The school buildings and facilities are modern and designed with children in mind. Our excellent facilities include patios for play, sports courts and more. Our facilities enable us to provide a stimulating learning environment designed to develop the individual skills and abilities of all our students.
New campus in Culleredo
Coruña British International School will have a new school campus in Sésamo (Culleredo). Built on a 38,698 m² plot in Sésamo and in an unbeatable natural environment, the new school will have a total built area of 14,800 m² of warm, open and interconnected educational spaces that facilitate active learning and contribute to the development of skills for the 21st century. The new campus of Coruña British International School will have a single building, with a clear differentiation of educational stages, in which students coexist but do not mix, as each stage has its own specific spaces. It is a very functional building, with the flexibility to adapt to the constant evolution of the students, and their educational needs in the different stages, from three to 18 years old. The centre will also have a gymnasium, indoor sports pavilion, auditorium, outdoor sports area, and arts and STEAM classrooms.
Acreditation
We are approved and accredited by both the Galician government and the British Council, and we are also members of NABSS (National Association of British Schools in Spain). Coruña School belongs to Globeducate British International Schools and is part of the prestigious Globeducate family of schools.
