Coruña British International School is a private, secular school in A Coruña, Galicia. We offer a multilingual education with English immersion for students ages three to 12 and are expanding our classes into secondary school from September 2021. The educational journey we offer at A Coruña provides the opportunity to achieve internationally renowned academic qualifications and lays the foundations for a lifelong love of learning, at secondary school, university and beyond.
Early years classes are a child’s first experience of school. At this age classes are focused on immersion in the English language, emotional intelligence and creative play, and artistic and musical activities.
In primary school classes are focused on building a strong grounding in literacy and numeracy, as well working to develop our pupils’ personal and social skills.
From September 2021 we will begin teaching Year 7 classes at Coruña British International School, the first year of secondary school in the British education system.
In their final two years of school students narrow down the subjects that they wish to study in greater depth at A-Level.
We are a school that is thriving and growing. From September 2021 we will begin to teach Year 7 classes, progressively adding a new year group each year until we offer the full range of schooling, from ages three to 18. We teach the English National Curriculum and the education we offer our students is high quality and individualised, with dedicated attention for each student.
Through a broad and balanced curriculum that goes beyond the purely academic, we build a deeper experience of the world. This encourages an environment in which each student can discover and develop their own talents - and appreciate the perspectives and gifts of others.
A great education equips a student to face challenges confidently and manage failure with tenacity and resilience. We aim to cultivate the character of every student, through safe and managed exposure to experiences that stretch them.
The coming decades will present extraordinary opportunities and challenges for humanity and the planet; and also for our students. Our aim is to prepare and inspire each student to contribute to a more just and sustainable world by making use of their unique talents.
We aim to empower our students to discover what it will mean for them, and to achieve the highest qualifications and, above all, to make this process of learning and seeking success as a basis for a fulfilling life as enriching as possible.
After three years in the Eco Schools programme, the ADEAC assessment committee has awarded the green flag to eight of the Globeducate schools in Spain, including Coruña British International School.
A partnership that connects more than 28,000 students around the world with a clear goal: to prepare the next generations to face environmental challenges.
The journey to the green flag. As educators, it is our responsibility to ensure that young people are aware of their responsibility to act.
Our aim is to educate students who are committed to the world and to the great challenges of our time.
